Evening workshop Tuesday 11/06 19:00-20:30 Lungs/breath and heart of us -Experimental anatomy An experiential enquiry into the ribcage and diaphragm and the organs held within. As we breathe in our practice we often breathe in our own conditioned and limited way, with little real attention to the areas that we don’t breathe into. How can we position the ribcage, to access more breath in Asana work? and create the most space available to us with more attention to and awareness of this area. Using somatic work and gentle attention we will begin to relate to the ribs more clearly and use the breath more specifically to access the intercostal muscles and diaphragm and help soften and open the thoracic spine.
Thursday 13/06 19:00-20:30 Spinal Curves -Support and suspension The spinal curves and how they create suspension and support and space. We develop spinal curves from our earliest movement beginnings and the spine is more flexible and open if the facet joints can move freely. Through life and postural conditions we lose and sometimes overuse our spinal curves creating imbalance in our posture. We will explore our curves from heel to head and play with seeking lost space and locked space for new space and support for the whole body. PRICE: Early bird price for full program 260€ until April 14th. After this date the full workshop price is 280 €. If any space left , the Individual workshop session will be available @ 45€
