Josick is a teacher in Hatha Yoga and Prenatal Yoga, as well as occasionally Hot Yoga, Vinyasa, Yin-Yang and Yin Yoga. She followed a comprehensive training during more than 4 years with Belgian master Thierry van Brabant, based on the tradition of yoga, including philosophy, physio-energetic theories, anatomy, postural practice and analysis, breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation. She also spent one month in India during that training, further learning with Indian masters and experiencing the vibrant and complex Indian culture and spirituality. While beginning to teach 6 years ago, she has continued to get trained in more specialised approaches, especially yoga for children and teenagers, prenatal yoga, yoga for back problems and Yin yoga. She also regularly follows workshops and courses with teachers from different backgrounds, including Iyengar, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin yoga, Yoga Wall, as well as Pilates.
As part of her personal journey into body and mind balance, she is committed to her daily practice at home, with some postures, breathing and meditation every morning to open the day in a yogic perspective, and every evening to close the day and prepare for a peaceful night.
Before discovering yoga, but already in line with its founding principle of non-violence, she chose a vegetarian diet 27 years ago, and now almost vegan (plant-based, no animal hurt!).
Apart from teaching yoga, she works at the European Commission as a development cooperation officer.
