“Love like life flows through the heart, feel the thrill of the flow and say nothing.” - RUMI

RAMONA MOJGAN ROUHDOUST

LET’S YOGA & SHIATSU FOUNDER & SENIOR TEACHER

From Iran to Sweden, from Sweden to Belgium.. I traveled the world in pursuit of peace, love & happiness. Today I can claim that home is my inner sanctuary, where I feel connected to my soul and my inner wisdom..

In this path of love, there have been moments that focused more on letting go of identities, of knowledge and certainty of opinion and even attempts of control. I felt though as I was stripped back to my core and even then, further still.. I felt such a challenge every time I tried to become something great. My pursuit of peace and the truth of who I am continued with a great smack on my wrist every time I tried to hold on something firmly, anything that brought me stability or certainly.

Then something magical happened. I opened up to whatever was asked of me, happened through me. As I chose each day to come alive as much as I could and by magic there was something else that occurred. Grace and gratitude to be alive and doing what I love.

Looking back at those challenges I know now my soul was ready for it!

2020 was a setback for the whole world. Many went through and are still ongoing the challenges presented to us each day.

We can instead choose to wonder if obstacle after obstacle, closed door after closed door is just a prompt to look for the open window to climb through. And if so, instead of seeking to impose our small story upon the great truth, we can begin to live the truth.

 TESTIMONIAL

“I first came to Ramona's studio in October 2021, after years of individual practice.  In her shala I found a space of trust and self-exploration,  where the tradition of Ashtanga is honored in the truest way. Ramona is a devoted, gentle and rigorous teacher who combines a deep knowledge of the postures with a rare ability to understand and connect  to the individuality of each student. Each class  challenges me and invites me to dive deeper and access new places within me. Be ready to uncover new territory!”

MY PASSION AND VOCATION

In my early years I had a very strong interest in the human body, health, physiology, nutrition and digestion. I believe a knowledge of this is essential for understanding the Shiatsu and yoga process.

I continued to take courses in the study of Massage therapy, reflexology and various therapy courses including being trained as a Zone therapist.

With a degree in Medical Biology at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, I did not go out into the world with any notion of becoming a Zen shiatsu practitioner nor did I realize the love and passion I grew for Yoga.

When I discovered  Ashtanga yoga in 2008,  I had already experienced working in the research of the medical and Pharmaceutical business world for more than 10 years and I  was entertaining my passion for my daughter, music and art.

But Shiatsu, yoga and the spiritual path persistently called on me.

I found I could not refuse, and soon my own healing journey began when I enrolled in a 4 years study of  Oriental medicine and Shiatsu with Master Yuichi Kawada and soon after 500h teacher training with Lucy and John Scott.

In 2012, the path had me! A crucial turning point in my journey with myself. A yearning from deep within to drive right into the heart of the method. I realized at some point that, in fact, I knew nothing and that the best I could do was commit wholeheartedly to continuous study practice and surrender. I traveled  to India, the land of Yoga, Chai, coconuts, silk and sandalwoods.

My first trip to Mysore to further study at the Ashtanga Yoga research Institute. The home of Ashtanga Guru, Sri K Patthabi Jois, who since he passed away, his grandson R, Sharath Jois has taken over the direction of the Institute.

I continued to deepen my practice and education in yoga and pranayama, studying with the incredible teachers but my real teacher was my father who infused me with love of Rumi and Hafez and his own poems.

The passion for singing his poems and also sharing my voice with intuitive melodies was the stepback of 2020, when the world stopped and we all had nothing else but to connect to our own creative minds…

Teaching for me is not a carrier but a vocation that needs to be experienced. It takes hard work, discipline and motivation to get there and I see myself being very lucky to have had that support to have come this far. My journey continues...

Thank you for taking your time knowing about me.

OM, Shanti

YOGA

I believe in teaching people, not poses, which makes each class unique, focused and transformative, responding to the needs and energy of the moment. Postural practice is just one gateway to understanding yoga, with the ultimate aim of becoming a more fully aware, balanced and integrated being.

My yoga therapy practice includes clients dealing with emotional and physical health issues, such as back problems, chronic pain, high blood pressure, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, Crohn's disease, breast cancer, anxiety and depression. I also use Daniel Schroder's "corps astral" and energetic reading as a way to understand one's energy pattern to deepen self-awareness.

The individual sessions that I offer can involve any of the above tools, including spiritual guidance.

TRANSFORMATION

I work in a very holistic and harmonious way to unlock  unbroken freedom and inner peace that everyone possesses.

Life's challenges present opportunities for personal and spiritual growth, and serve as signposts on the path to awakening.

Ashtanga yoga, Japanese (DO-In) yoga, Pranayama (breath work) and meditation practice is healing, empowering and inspiring. It's deeply satisfying to watch people tap into their potential and discover and transform themselves through ancient wisdom teachings.

My 14 years of developing a personal mindfulness practice provide tools and support both in my therapy work and as a parent. I have especially been blessed to spend years with Masters and great teachers on retreats since 2008.

I use transformational tools such as Yoga of awakening, energy healing, A course in miracle, helping myself to go deeper in this path of healing by helping the ones who are as curious as I am.

I trained at 2 Ashtanga yoga shalas before going to Ramona's. I like a lot her approach, in the search of precision on every Asana, strive to proper alignment which helps to reach a deep meditative state.
Ramona is the most knowledgeable Ashtanga teacher I've met, extremely competent, who pushes us to go further, improve, come out of the confort zone. Practice with her is not only the learning the asanas, it's also learning about art of living, self development and growth...I love pranayama too, and with Ramona we can also practice this yoga pillar, which is extremely powerful for calming the monkey mind
There is not only yoga here, there is a community of beautiful souls where I feel at home, cared for, not judged and listened.

Entering Ramona's universe is a unique experience. Her knowledge of teaching yoga is impressive. She offers us a way to evolve in safey, without ever getting hurt. She encourages us to tame our fears and push them away. Ramona surprises me  each class, it's never the same thing twice. It's a self-discovery.

I can truly recommend Ramona. She adapts her teachings to the energy of the room and encourages people to explore new ways, a benefit which amplifies outside the yoga mat. . " Lee
